TOUGH
Came to life under the loving guidance of Jay Newland. After honing the songs to Jay's standards, we joined forces with an outstanding band and set to work recording at the Carriage House, in Stamford CT. On drums was the rock-solid American Ringo DAN RIESER; on piano, organ, pump organ, Hammond B3, accordion, and background vocals the effortlessly harmonic GLENN PATSCHA; on acoustic and electric guitar the tasteful and gentlemenly ADAM LEVY; and on acoustic and electric bass the international purveyor of low tones ZEV KATZ. The insanely musical DAVE EGGAR, on cello, and the mind-bogglingly talented ENTCHO TODOROV, on violin and viola, joined us to create the double string quartet on "Martha Lee." The masterful SHERROD BARNES blew us away with his guitar work on a number of tracks, and STEVE WILLIAMS provided drums on three of the thirteen tracks. The cover art and 16 page CD booklet with lyrics was entirely hand-illustrated by the one and only ISABELLE ADAMS.
